Escape to Provence

A few days in France, sourcing for .
we’re building a feeling.

Pieces that carry history, quiet beauty, and that unmistakable french charm —
the kind that makes a home feel lived in, layered, and deeply personal.

Tell me… which piece would you bring home?

We wander without a plan.
Up narrow stairs, past shelves bending under the weight of old books, through rooms that felt quietly forgotten.

A carved cabinet that’s held a hundred lives.
A painting of a village that feels like it remembers summer.
Drawers full of papers, letters, things once important to someone.

We never really know what we’re looking for… until we find it.

Not just bringing things back from France, but holding onto that feeling — of discovery, of stillness, of a home slowly coming together piece by piece.

House of Provence is beginning to take shape in moments like these.
We are travelling to France in less than 4 weeks. 🤍

In an almost forgotten grange in the heart of France we found dust on the floor and wood marked by years of use.
Ships that once imagined distance, now resting quietly as they keep the memories of best journeys.

This is how opens the year.
Not with noise, but with objects that have already lived.
Pieces chosen for their silence, their patience, their ability to hold time.

At The Provence Chapter we are drawn to things that feel steady.
Things that have travelled, waited, and still carry grace.
This year is about listening to them more closely.
Nothing to be hurried.
Nothing to be forced.
Just a slow return to what feels true.

The golden hour light I captured in France this evening felt like a promise.

Wandering between Switzerland 🇨🇭 and France 🇫🇷 , chasing the snow and breathing in the cold, clean air that makes everything feel sharper and slower all at once.

In between long roads and winter light, we stopped at small brocantes, places where time seems to stay still, where every object holds a memory of another life.

A few treasures found will make their way to soon.

But for now, it’s more travelling, cold days, and cosy evenings wrapped in layers and quiet moments.
