Inflation in Brazil is set to ease to 4.5% y/y in October from 5.2% in the previous month, according to the CEIC’s proprietary inflation nowcast. If confirmed by the official release by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics due November 10, this would be the first deceleration of price growth since June 2023 and would inflation back within the target range of 1.75-4.75%. The fuel inflation was the strongest predictor of price growth, explaining 56.4% of the nowcast on September 18. https://hubs.la/Q027zpzt0
