Today, the 5th of June is
A day to reconnect with nature and with the ecosystems that support all life on earth, ours included.
With so much habitat and biodiversity loss, It has never been more important than now that we conserve what little of our world’s wild places that we have left but you don’t protect what you don’t care about and can’t care about that which you don’t understand.
So take a step outside, look at nature in its infinite complexity and wonder and start to think about what YOU can do.
It doesn’t have to be big to start with, but you do have to start.

Some Purple Loosestrife for a thing I’m working on.
All the intricate little details (they have 3 different flower types simultaneously) took me longer than expected (Quelle surprise) but I’m delighted with how it turned out.
Swipe for the earlier stages.
On to the next one!

Inspired (a bit) by some reference pics I took at I think this might be my favourite thing I’ve drawn so far this year.
I love moss & lichen (some people might say an unhealthy amount) and although I mostly specialise in drawing animals, it’s been a treat getting to grips with some plants on this current project and expanding the amount of in my portfolio.
Swipe to check out some of the progress images and of course I’ve already added it to the print collection because I think it’ll make a stunning print.
If I’m quick about it, I might even have some ready in time for this weekend’s but I won’t have many so DM me if you want to get your hands on em this weekend!
