Logging MS Teams on TIM Enterprise

With TIM Enterprise and MS Teams you can now communicate with your Teams online tenancy. Installation is easy; you simply need to add our new Teams OpenCDR connector which passes you over to the Teams website to set our TIM Application permissions.

Then, as soon as they have been transmitted by Microsoft, all calls will be sent to TIM Enterprise via our OpenCDR platform.

We also have an Azure to TIM Enterprise directory synchronization so your MS Teams user information will be replicated within TIM Enterprise (and kept up-to-date daily) to allow for an easier and recognisable reporting experience.

If you’re running Teams alongside your current PBX(s), we log all. As usual, free trials are available if you’d like to test.

Our partners are advising that numerous NHS sites need to increase capacity on SIP lines in order to cope with calls as the COVID-19 situation unfolds.

Given the depth of gratitude we all owe to the NHS and its front-line staff, Tri-line will not be charging for the additional recording licenses required on these sites. For help, extending licenses, please contact us in the usual way.

As we navigate these uncharted waters, the priority, where possible, should be to support the NHS and its front-line staff who are at present going above and beyond!

If all of us in the telecoms industry do our little bit to help, we might make the bumpy-ride ahead a little smoother.

Take care,

The Team at Tri-Line

Logging remote users on TIM Enterprise

We have some good news for all Tri-Line clients who are busy setting up remote working in order to cope with the COVID-19 virus. Since 'user' is a virtual concept in both TIM Plus and TIM Enterprise call loggers can have more than one extension allocated to a user.

This is a standard feature and already available in all products including older non-maintained versions. There are no license fees charged for Alternative extensions.

To allocate an 'alternative extension' for the remote phone, simply go to ‘User properties’. Then enter the new extension in the ‘Alternative Extension’ field.

Full instructions are available in the product manual at:
https://docs.tri-line.com/display/enterprise/User

We hope this helps. If you need assistance, just contact us by raising an online ticket, e-mailing the support team, or on the usual support number.

For TIM Enterprise, the ‘Alternative extension’ field will be shown as follows:

Tri-Line's new Echo call obfuscation plug-in for Google Chrome automatically masks out sensitive parts of phone calls when specific websites/URLs are accessed.

When the plug-in detects that a specific URL is visited, call obfuscation commences; when the user leaves the URL, obfuscation stops.

Whilst it can also be used in custom applications, the plug-in is primarily intended for hiding the card particulars when card payment gateway sites are accessed.

This offers a simple, effective solution for organisations who need to mask the 3-digit CVV when taking card payments for PCI compliance.

To use you will need to have a licensed copy of TIM Plus or TIM Enterprise that includes Echo voice recording.
