Jake Slack

Our Story

Jake is a 16 year old guitarist from Buckinghamshire. Currently playing guitar and singing in ‘Chapter 13’ (@WeareChapter13) along with Tom Abisgold, Noah Key and Jacob Swann. Chapter13 have recorded 2 songs on ‘The Creakers - Musical Edition’ by Tom Fletcher and are writing and recording their own material for release in 2019.

Chapter 13 were also Amanda Holden’s ‘Golden Buzzer’ act on Britains Got Talent 2019 and appeared in the live semi-finals on ITV.

Jake had previously played the role of Zack Mooneyham in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock the Musical Sep 2016 - Aug 2017.
Jake beat thousands of other children to be chosen for the part which saw him make his west end stage debut as an original cast member in Sep 2016. Since landing the role Jake has grown in knowledge and experience and is now as confident an actor as he is a guitarist.

Jake was one of the 12 musicians in the show to win an Olivier Award 2017 for Outstanding Musical Achievement for playing their musical instruments live every night.

The show has also enabled him to film trailers, appear in photo shoots, press interviews, rehearse and play with established artists. As well as acting, singing and playing live to over 1000 people each night at the New London Theatre, Drury Lane, Jake has also performed at Proms in the Park (Hyde Park 2016), The Royal Albert Hall (Magic at the musicals), The Prince of Wales theatre (What’s on Stage awards), appeared on ITV’s Tonight at the Palladium and delivered a stunning 30 minute set on the main stage at Camp Bestival (2017) to a crowd of 25,000.

In the Summer of 2019 Chapter 13 embarked on their first UK tour spanning 10 dates including a sold out show at London’s Islington Academy 2.

Jake also performs solo shows and his first was a sold out show at The Drawing Room in Chesham 11th Nov 2017.

Jake also appeared in a small role in the second series of ‘Britannia’ due to be screened in Nov 2019.

Although Rock Guitar is Jake’s first love, he also plays drums, keys and bass.
