New Suntory release (29/10/2024) a Duty Free exclusive in Japan

Suntory Hibiki 12 Tasting Note,

Bottle size: 700ml/70cl
Colour: Radiant Honey-like
Nose: Juicy marmalade, orange chunks, cooked apples, cinnamon, honey, and plum wine.
Palate: Crushed almonds, stewed fruits, clove-studded oranges, sherried malt, and oak.
Finish: Bright and flavorful with crisp apple and citrus.

So, what’s the Exceptional Cask Series I hear you ask? Simply put, the series was created to showcase the different elements of what makes up the Aberfeldy character and taste profile which many of us are a fan of 🙌🏻

All of the releases are at different age statements, and showcases a whisky that has been matured or finished in different cask types, with this release focusing on sherry 🍷

On that note, now to talk more about the whisky! The 19yo release is produced in limited small batches, and has been matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks before being transferred into ex-oloroso sherry casks, numbered 3076-78, and bottled at 43% 🥃

The whisky is of natural colour and has been non-chill filtered, and as mentioned, this is a limited small batch release, with 2256 bottles being produced 🥃
