Bloody Pineapples have officially released their new EP, This Is Pine, and this is not just another step forward. This is the band kicking the door off its hinges and declaring exactly what Pineapplecore is supposed to sound like.

Everything that made Bloody Pineapples dangerous before is still here: the chaos, the humour, the heaviness, the whiplash shifts, the refusal to sit neatly in anyone’s playlist category.

But this EP feels sharper. Meaner. More focused. More ridiculous in all the right ways.

This Is Pine takes extreme metal, bends it out of shape, throws in whatever the hell it wants, and somehow lands with something that feels unmistakably Bloody Pineapples.

REGICIDE SIGN TO METALVISION RECORDS

Essex thrash unit Regicide have officially joined the MetalVision Records roster, following their victory at Metal 2 The Masses East Anglia and ahead of their appearance on the Bloodstock Open Air New Blood Stage.

The band, made up of Niall Byrne on vocals and guitar, Gareth Brimley on guitar, Josh Birch on bass, and Jordan Maze on drums, have been building serious momentum across the East Anglian heavy scene. Their recent M2TM win in Norwich has pushed them into the next phase of their campaign, and MetalVision Records are now stepping in to help turn that momentum into something bigger.

Regicide have become known for delivering the kind of thrash that feels built for sweaty rooms, sore necks, and crowds that do not need much persuasion before they start moving. There is bite in the riffs, urgency in the delivery, and a clear sense that this is a band beginning to understand the scale of the opportunity in front of them.

MetalVision Records founder Andy Baqone said:

“Regicide have earned this. They have the songs, the attitude, the work ethic, and the kind of live energy that makes people pay attention. Winning Metal 2 The Masses East Anglia was an important milestone, but it should be treated as a launchpad, not a destination. Our job now is to help them build a serious campaign around that momentum and make sure the right people are watching.”

The signing comes at a pivotal time for the band. With Bloodstock now on the horizon and a growing following behind them, Regicide are moving from promising regional force to a band with a national platform in front of them.

MetalVision Records will support the band across PR, campaign strategy, artist development, and wider industry positioning as Regicide prepare for the next stage of their evolution.

Statement from MetalVision Records

MetalVision Records does not support transphobia, homophobia, or hostility towards the LGBTQIA+ community.

Any suggestion or implication that the label supports hatred or prejudice is false.

MetalVision became involved with London Metal Pride in good faith to support the event, its purpose, and LGBTQIA+ representation in heavy music.

Concerns were later raised about historic social media posts by a member of Vendetta before the band worked with MetalVision Records. We took those concerns seriously. We reviewed the material, spoke directly with those involved, and made clear that the wording was poor, reactive and not something we would defend.

However, since working with MetalVision Records, Vendetta’s conduct has been respectful, professional and consistent with the standards expected of artists associated with the label.

The band had been offered the opportunity to perform at London Metal Pride in early May, after the historic situation and their current approach had already been discussed. They were unable to accept due to changes in availability.

MetalVision Records will always act decisively on current abuse, hostility, discrimination or conduct that makes people unsafe. That remains our position.

We will not, however, remove an artist from the label based solely on historic social media posts made before they worked with us, especially where their conduct since has not supported the allegation.

Our relationship with London Metal Pride ended because the situation became untenable. We attempted to resolve matters privately and professionally, but the public narrative has now created a false impression of MetalVision Records, our values and our artists.

We remain committed to respectful and inclusive live music spaces, fair treatment of artists, and the belief that education, growth and changed behaviour must matter.

We sincerely hope London Metal Pride is a safe, successful and positive event for everyone attending.
