🎉 Exciting news!

Action on Disability has secured £636,012 from The National Lottery Community Fund to continue and grow our successful Our Place project for the next 5 years.

Since 2022, Our Place has helped Deaf and Disabled people across West London build confidence, reduce isolation, develop skills, and shape their communities. This new funding will expand opportunities for learning, volunteering, peer support, and community leadership.

We were delighted to welcome Jacqui McShannon, Executive Director of People and DCS, John Morley, Director of Adult Social Care, and Sarah Bright, Director of Commissioning, to AoD to meet our Chair and Senior Management Team.

It was a positive and constructive discussion about the council's new Independent Living Strategy, strengthening partnership working with local Disabled People's Organisations, co-production, and improving outcomes for Disabled residents across Hammersmith & Fulham.

We look forward to working together to help make the strategy a success, ensuring nothing about Disabled people without Disabled people.
