Massive thanks to Darren J Sylvester who led the discussion on Monday, and all those students who attended Legal Initiative's first event of the academic year, 'Life After Birkbeck: Making Your Law Degree Work For You!'

The event was engaging, informative and gave each who attended, something to think about and reflect on if they are considering a career in the legal sector.

Some of the themes covered included:

1. The importance of demonstrating your Commitment and Dedication to the Bar.

2. The importance of Networking and building a Support Network.

3. The advantage of being able to Market Yourself.

4. The advantage of being able to Anticipate Change, in an ever changing legal climate.

5. Always ask yourself, 'How can I be involved in the law?'

The students were able to benefit from this first hand insight into the legal sector and many interesting and helpful questions were asked.

Legal Initiative would once again like to thank all those who supported this event and we look forward to our next event!!!
