Raining Shadows - A Time For Wolves **OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO** 15/10/2025

I love making music with my friends and that's what I want to celebrate today. 'Raining Shadows' is a cool little horror themed track I co-wrote with my good friend Billy Dedman and released online a year ago today. Also featuring the savage lead guitar work of James Bickley, this is a great track to get you in the Halloween mood. Give it a listen and let us know what you think

From Staines With Love 2025 REMIX/REMASTER, by Scott Freeman 09/10/2025

It's been quite a while since I've posted anything on Facebook (or any of the other social channels), but I'm back to tell you all about my new album - or at least a new version of an old album!

Almost six years to the day, in October 2019, I released my third album 'From Staines With Love' online and proceeded to tour the album through October in order to promote it.

Unfortunately, I got quite sick during the tour and had to cancel most of it. I spent most of November/December 2019 rather poorly, because the process of making the album took everything I had and I crashed BADLY.

But over those two months, I reflected on the album I had poured so much of my energy into and I realised that I had produced something I was ultimately... Not very proud of. It may have taken everything I had to make it, but the whole album seemed to lack energy, so I decided to start again.

Jumping ahead to the lockdown of 2020, with nothing to do but record music and release it online, I started re-recording the album again from scratch with the help of my good friend, Robert Osborne. By the spring of 2022, I thought I had something I could release. But upon listening to the album in its totality, it once again didn't feel right.

It was an improvement over the first version of the album, but it still felt wrong somehow. So I bowed my head in defeat and decided to just walk away from it and move on to the 'Two Cats' album people had been asking me about since 2018.

But I couldn't quit. I went back to the drawing board on all ten tracks. I listened to both versions of the album. I tore them apart. I did everything I could to understand what the problem was.

Then it hit me.

On my first and second albums, I brought in my amazing music friends to add their own special something to the tracks. The second album 'Have Fun Being Single' especially, was a triumph in collaboration.

For the third album, I was inspired by a friend who made his own albums to record the album myself and play all the parts, but in doing so, I lost something: Personality.

So in my third attempt at the album, I brought in some friends to help me complete it and with their amazing contributions, I now feel like I've achieved something close to the original vision I had for this album. An album that jumps into different genres and messes with them, an album with heart and soul and passion and complete and utter weirdness. In short, I'd made an album that felt like me.

So thank you to the friends who got me here, you all know who you are. This is 'From Staines With Love' in all its glory. I hope you enjoy it.
