Design Reviewed – the book! Our crowdfunding campaign to publish a book featuring the best of the collection is coming to .co soon.

With over 10,000 printed artefacts, the Design Reviewed website stands as one of the world’s pre-eminent graphic design archives. Lovingly and painstakingly assembled by Bradford-based designer Matt Lamont, the archive is dedicated to digitally – and physically – preserving graphic design history: magazines, posters and printed objects of all kinds.

Details on the launch of our latest crowdfunder will follow soon via our newsletter. In the meantime, check out Matt’s latest posts on and the online archive at designreviewed.com.

Thanks to for sharing this great shot of his Woman at Work road sign – one of 100 we had made as part of our rewards packages for our Margaret Calvert book, crowdfunded on .co.

The signs are life-size, produced as Aluminium Composite Panels (ACM) and rendered in R2 reflective vinyl, as used on permanent signs on major roads. They are also gloss laminated (A142).

The Woman at Work sign is a variation on the classic road works design (the so-called ‘men at work’ sign) Calvert created as part of the UK traffic signs programme of the mid-1960s.

Thanks to everyone who pledged and helped to make Woman at Work happen.
