Are your plugs safe? ⚡

Many of us don’t think about the condition of our plugs and cables, but regular checks can prevent hazards. Here’s a quick guide to keeping your 13-amp square-pin plugs safe:

✅ Make sure the cable is securely connected to both the appliance and the plug. Check for any damage and avoid cables with joints or tape repairs.

✅ Inspect the plug for cracks or discolouration. These could be signs of overheating. Ensure it meets British Standard BS 1363 (look for the marking on the back). Check that the cable is secured firmly, with no exposed coloured wires.
