Growing a tiny human doesn’t mean I have to stop moving. 💛
Staying active during my pregnancy has helped me feel strong, healthy, and like myself. Every workout looks a little different these days, and that’s okay.
You might notice I’m still jumping in some exercises—and that’s because it feels comfortable for me right now. But every pregnancy is different (this will probably change in the third trimester), and what feels good for one person might not feel right for another. The most important thing is to listen to your body, make modifications when you need to, and do what feels safe and sustainable for you.
Movement during pregnancy isn’t about pushing harder—it’s about supporting your body, your mind, and your baby.
Keep moving, keep adapting, and remember that every pregnancy journey is unique. 🤍
Shout out to love their classes and the fact that they send recordings as well is brilliant.

18 weeks 💛
Pregnancy is such a strange experience of watching your body change in real time.
My bump is definitely growing now. Some days I look in the mirror and think, “Aw, there’s the baby.” Other days I think god it’s big for 18 weeks. 😅
I’ve noticed my lower back arching a little more, my posture changing, and those little aches and twinges around the base of my pelvis making themselves known. It’s a reminder that my body is working incredibly hard, even on the days when I don’t necessarily feel pregnant.
As a Pilates and yoga teacher, and someone who genuinely enjoys being active – from teaching classes to doing boot camps – I’ve spent years focusing on strength, fitness, and, if I’m honest, trying to tone my tummy and make it smaller.
So there is something really humbling about this season of life. The very thing I’ve often worked towards is now changing in the opposite direction. My body is softening, expanding, and making space for someone else.
And I’m learning that embracing these changes doesn’t mean loving every single one of them all the time. It means respecting what my body is doing, even when it feels unfamiliar.
I think we talk a lot about “bouncing back” and not enough about learning to appreciate our bodies while they’re changing. Growing a baby doesn’t always feel glamorous. Sometimes it’s beautiful, sometimes uncomfortable, and often both at the same time.
So if you’re pregnant and finding yourself struggling with the changes in the mirror, you’re not alone. Whether you’re someone who’s never set foot in a gym or someone whose career revolves around movement and wellbeing, these changes can bring up all sorts of emotions.
Here’s to giving ourselves a little more grace through every new curve, ache and wobble🤍
To anyone else navigating pregnancy right now: how are you finding the changes in your body?

Growing bump update 🥰 Along with all the amazing changes pregnancy brings, I’m definitely noticing my pelvis starting to tip into anterior tilt. These gentle hip flexor and quad stretches have been feeling really good for releasing some of that tightness. Also… these knee pads deserve their own shout-out because comfort is everything right now 😂 If you want the link, pop a comment below or send me a DM and I’ll share it!
🤍 3 Gentle Stretches for Pregnancy 1st Trimester Back Pain
Your body is already working overtime in the first trimester, and that can sometimes show up as aches and tension in your back. These gentle stretches may help you feel a little more comfortable. ✨
🌿 1. Pelvic Tilts
• Lie on your back with knees bent (if comfortable for you in early pregnancy) or stand against a wall
• Gently tilt your pelvis to flatten your lower back
• Release and repeat slowly
• Try 8–10 repetitions
🌿 2. Seated Side Stretch
• Sit comfortably with a tall spine
• Raise one arm overhead and lean gently to the opposite side
• Feel the stretch through your side body and lower back
• Hold for 15–20 seconds each side
🌿 3. Cat–Cow Stretch
• Start on hands and knees
• Inhale as you lift your chest and tailbone slightly
• Exhale as you round your spine
• Move slowly with your breath for 5–10 repetitions
💛 Remember:
✔️ Stretch gently—never to the point of pain
✔️ Avoid bouncing movements
✔️ Stay hydrated and listen to your body
✔️ Rest when you need to
⚠️ Stop exercising and contact your healthcare provider if you experience dizziness, vaginal bleeding, severe pain, fluid leakage, or cramping.
Growing a tiny human is hard work. Be kind to yourself and celebrate the small moments of movement that help you feel your best. 🌷
Save this post for later 🤍 and share it with another mama-to-be who might need a little relief.
My coping strategies:
* Eating little and often rather than waiting until I’m hungry.
* Keeping snacks by the bed and with me at all times 😂
* Staying hydrated however I can manage it.
* Resting when I need to.
* Taking movement pressure off myself and adjusting my expectations.
* Gentle walks or light movement on days it feels possible.
* Fresh air.
* Listening to my body rather than pushing through.
*Mints
*Ginger cordial and ginger beer
As a sports massage therapist and yoga/Pilates teacher, I’m used to helping people feel better in their bodies. Pregnancy nausea has been a reminder that sometimes the goal isn’t fixing something—it’s simply finding ways to get through the day.
If you’re dealing with pregnancy nausea right now, I’d love to know what’s helped you cope. It might help someone else reading the comments.
Pregnancy nausea has definitely been one of the biggest challenges of this pregnancy so far.
I know many women experience it far more severely than I have, and for some it lasts throughout their entire pregnancy. Sadly, there isn’t a magic cure, but I’ve learned that sometimes it’s about finding small things that help you cope from one day to the next.
In this reel, I’m sharing a few of the foods, drinks, and habits that have helped me. Not because they’ll work for everyone, but because sometimes hearing what helped someone else can give you a new idea to try.
If you’re currently experiencing pregnancy nausea, I’d love to hear what’s helped you.
And if you know someone who is struggling with pregnancy nausea right now, please tag them below or share this reel with them ❤️
Sorry for my absence on here so intent to change that just been really busy and feeling a bit rough to be honest 🤢 but feeling much better now. Watch the reel to find out why 🫣😂
