⚠️ Smoke alarm scam emails have been targeting residents.

The email falsely states that your home has been added to a review list due to "outdated or missing smoke detectors" and warns of fines, inspections, or impacts on home insurance if you do not take immediate action. Recipients are then urged to click a link to "check their status".

🚨 This was confirmed to be a phishing scam.

✅ Protect yourself:
• Do not click links in unexpected emails.
• Be wary of messages threatening fines or legal action.
• Check any claims directly with your local Fire and Rescue Service using contact details from their official website.
• Delete the email if you believe it is a scam.
