Buyer beware – misleading “gaming PC” sale

I recently bought what was advertised as a new gaming PC, sold as a high-end gaming computer. After checking it properly, I discovered it was actually running an Intel i7-6700 processor paired with a GTX 1080.

While the GTX 1080 is still a capable card, the i7-6700 is nearly a decade old and definitely not what most people would consider “new” by any standard. This wasn’t clearly disclosed at the time of sale, and the wording strongly implied modern, new components.

I’m posting this so others are aware and make sure to double-check exact specs before buying, especially when something is described as new or high-end. Always ask for full component details and don’t rely on vague descriptions.

Hopefully this helps someone avoid the same experience.

If you are ever in doubt I don’t need to force computer sales on you if you wanted to buy it elsewhere that is absolutely fine but I would always be honest on what your getting is actually fit for your purpose. I would happily look at what your buying for you and tell you if it’s matches when you want to use it for and if it’s value for money too

We are in a market now where RAM prices have tripled in price now due to supply and demand so it’s a very tricky place right now to find decent ram chips which adds huge amount of cost to computers but it’s making companies like these thrive. Please don’t be fool by these companies they are unsupported windows 11 devices that are fit for the bin and definitely not a gaming computer of the 21 century
