Excellent entry level opportunity supporting Fitters in the installation of furniture working to project plans. Suits someone whose can lift and carry carefully, can follow instructions and assemble furniture.

Knowledge and Experience:
• Experience of similar assembly work
• Experience of using hand tools
• Good communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions verbal and written
• Ability to be self organised
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Qualifications / Skills
• CSCS card - desirable
• Driving licence – desirable (6 points max)
• 7.5ton licence including Driver CPC desirable
Knowledge
• Understanding of office furniture installation and products – desirable
• Awareness of working within construction industry health & safety requirements / legislation – desirable

Complete description:
• Accountable for handling property and products safely and efficiently
• Operate manual handling equipment
• Read work orders and receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs
• Able to lift and carrying 25kg for a moderate distance as well as carrying furniture up stairs referring to Safe Manual Handling Guidelines
• Securely transport items avoiding any damage
• Loading and off loading of vehicles in efficient and logical manner
• Adhere to all safe working practices including manual handling – PPE must be carried at all times
• Assemble furniture to manufactures and customer requirements
• Familiarisation of full product range including attending product awareness training and on site development
• Placing electrics and monitor arms according to schematics
• Provide excellent customer service

We're looking for tool-toting people with an aptitude for putting things together!

If you hit a nail in clean, counter-sink without burring and can carry, inspect, follow instructions and assemble, saw, glue or connect your way to a job well done - then we want to talk. You'll regularly need to be able to carry up to 25kg short distances and move furniture into place/up stairs.

This is a job for practical people with experience building (all kinds of building). Do you think you'd make a great furniture assembler? If so, you might be working as soon as next week!

We particularly want to talk to you if you do a job well. No shortcuts. You choose the right tool, work diligently and do it right.

You will need to work unsupervised and may need to teach others your skills.
