🎉 Congratulations to the Staff at St Paul’s C of E Primary School! 🎉

We are delighted to congratulate all staff members who successfully completed our Go Active Paediatric First Aid Course. Every attendee now holds an OFQUAL-regulated qualification and, more importantly, the confidence and competence to apply the life-saving skills they have learned.

To support the school’s operational needs, the training was delivered on-site over two separate dates, ensuring minimal disruption to staffing levels and allowing TA’s and support staff to continue covering lunchtime duties.

The commitment and enthusiasm from the whole team were outstanding—well done to everyone involved!

🩹 First Aid in World War II: Saving Lives Beyond the Battlefield

During World War II, first aid wasn’t just a skill — it was a lifeline. Soldiers, medics, and even civilians were trained to provide immediate care under unimaginable conditions.

💉 Battlefield First Aid:
Field medics carried compact kits with bandages, morphine syrettes, sulfa powder, and tourniquets. Quick treatment often meant the difference between life and death before reaching a field hospital.

👩‍⚕️ Women and First Aid:
Nurses and volunteers played a vital role, running first aid posts and tending to the wounded at home and abroad. Their courage and care helped sustain both morale and survival.

⚕️ Legacy:
WWII advanced emergency medicine dramatically. Many of today’s first aid practices — from organized triage to field dressings — were shaped by lessons learned in those years.

“Every bandage tied, every wound cleaned, was an act of courage.” 💪
