🌈 ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT 🌈
Jas Nisic (they/them) is a multi-award nominated Theatre-Maker and Singer-Songwriter, nominated for two consecutive OffFest Awards and shortlisted for Best LGBTQA+ production at the Greater Manchester Fringe. Their work has been supported by Q***r Superbia Arts Fund and LGBT Foundation. They trained at the Royal Academy of Music in Musical Theatre. Jas has been described as a "Mancunian Lily Allen'' with relatable original music in a jazzy/folky style, Jas has been featured at Stockport Pride and BBC Radio Manchester, and was recently commissioned by HOME Manchester to write a song in response to the film “Red Shoes”.

Bex the King () is a Manchester-based artist. They have previously performed in drag for Canal Street Kings (), Plastic Cabaret () and Siren Entertainment (). Having recently completed their studies at Manchester School of Art, this King is back on the scene. Watch as they blur the lines between persona and self in their gender-bending, masculinity-subverting act.

Arisha (they/them) is a cabaret performer from Stockport. They are heavily inspired by natural imagery and mushrooms and often think about what each mushroom would be like if it could talk. The Amethyst Deciever is a beautiful edible fungi that inspires memories of Femme Fatales, Old Hollywood Glamour and lost love. Amethyst has lost her way to the Mushroom Ball and she is so excited to put the trans in transatlantic.

The cabaret promises a fusion of storytelling, music, drag, poetry, spoken word, and unforgettable performances by our local, vibrant, and exceptionally talented LGBTQIA+ performers.
Crafted by the multi-award-nominated and critically acclaimed To Bee Productions, "Queens of the Desert" beckons audiences to relish in an evening of charm, comedy, and remarkable performances. Hosted in the stunning Edwardian Engine Hall at the People's History Museum, guests can enjoy a drink while the space is filled with the harmonious blend of music and laughter.
Not only an evening of entertainment, but "Queens of the Desert" also serves a greater purpose. We are proud to announce that we will be fundraising for the Trans Mutual Aid Fund. This noble organisation tirelessly redistributes resources and provides crucial support to trans and nonbinary individuals in Greater Manchester.
Join us for a night that transcends the ordinary, as we celebrate diversity, talent, and community. "Queens of the Desert" promises an unforgettable experience that not only entertains but also supports a cause close to our hearts.
