You do not realise what your parents are teaching you until you become one yourself.

Growing up, my dad taught me something without ever really saying it.

He showed me what it looks like to live life fully.

He worked hard, gave everything his best effort, and had a way of making everyone around him feel comfortable. He could always be counted on to bring people together.

Today, my parents are still travelling the world, looking after family, and constantly stepping outside their comfort zone. Watching them has taught me that staying young isn’t about age. It’s about attitude.

Now that I have two children of my own, I think about that lesson often. The habits, values, and mindset we pass on matter far more than anything we tell our kids.

As the co-founder of TRULY NUTS!, I think about this in the work we are building too. The mission behind Truly Nuts comes from a similar belief: small daily choices that compound over time. Whether it’s how we look after our health, how we show up for our families, or how we approach life, consistency matters.
