From colorful street parades to mesmerizing performances in the Sambadromes, Carnaval transcends generations, social classes, genders, and races.

Behind the scenes, thousands of creatives work tirelessly all year long on costumes, choreography, music, and logistics. Their dedication not only brings joy to millions but also boosts the economy through tourism and cultural exchange.

At threadUp, we celebrate this incredible cultural phenomenon and stand with the creative community. As a platform that supports mental health and creative expression, we recognize the value of artistic voices that shape our world. 💛

That’s where CIISA – The Creative Industries Independent Standards Authority comes in.

This independent organisation is working to raise industry standards, provide support, and create safer, more inclusive workplaces for creatives across film, TV, music, theatre, and beyond.

Like CIISA, we believe in protecting and empowering creative professionals, ensuring they have access to the support and guidance they need.

From therapeutic drop-ins to friendly chats, we saw the impact of prioritizing mental health in the creative community.

As registration opens for 2025, we’re looking forward to another year of making a difference for those who inspire us all. 💙

Our project received some incredible feedback and we’re so excited to use it and the learnings from this pilot to inform and develop the project further and continue to support the mental health and wellbeing of the creative community.
