***Werneth Concert Band Plays Music from Stage and Screen***

Join us at New Mills Town Hall for a lively evening of music from beloved musicals and films, performed by the Werneth Concert Band.

The band comprises around 45 musicians, aged between 18 and 90, and is based at Chadkirk, between Marple and Romiley. This will be their first performance in Derbyshire, and they look forward to warmly welcoming the audience.

Over the past 40 years, the Werneth Concert Band has built a strong reputation through its concerts and charitable fundraising, both locally and internationally. The band is always keen to welcome new players, who can apply via the Werneth Concert Band website.

Each year, the band supports a chosen charity through fundraising events and Christmas carol performances. This year, they are supporting Maggies in Oldham, which provides vital support to people affected by cancer and their families. Later in the summer, the band will also undertake a sponsored walk from Maggies in Oldham to Chadkirk, their rehearsal venue.

The Werneth Concert Band looks forward to welcoming you to New Mills on 11th June for an enjoyable evening of music from stage and screen.
