Over 300 athletes prepare for Frome triathlon

Frome's sprint distance triathlon returns this month with competitors swimming 400 metres, cycling 24 km and running 5 km in and around Frome.

The event, on 19th July, will start and finish at the leisure centre on Princess Anne Road and will see athletes go head-to-head in a fast-paced competition. As well as individuals competing, there is also a relay option for people wishing to enter as a team.

Organisers, Frome Triathlon Club, said, “Race HQ is at Frome Sports and Fitness Centre, so there are great facilities and it is a great event for spectators. There’s always a fantastic atmosphere at the finish line, with cheering, music and food. We will be running a familiarisation session of the bike route nearer the event date.”

The event starts at 7am.
