SATS, GCSEs, A-Levels… all approaching over the coming weeks and months.

I’ve been thinking about what I’d say to my younger self.

Probably this:

Don’t measure your whole future by one set of results or exams.

Work hard. Give your best. But don’t let pressure convince you that your worth is tied to a grade, a number, or one moment in time.

Life will humble you, shape you, test you, and teach you far beyond any classroom ever will. The person you become, the resilience you build, and the way you treat others will matter far longer than any exam result.

So back yourself. Stay steady. Keep perspective.

A tough day, a bad result, or a difficult season does not define your story.

Keep going.

Your future is bigger than you think.

David Attenborough turns 100 today.

Imagine everything those eyes have seen. A century of humanity at its best and worst. Oceans still untouched. Forests now gone. Species discovered, and species lost.

Yet through it all, he never stopped reminding us how extraordinary this planet is.

“One final plea: open your eyes to the natural world around you.”

Maybe that’s the real lesson of his life. Slow down. Look up. Watch the birds. Feel the wind. Notice the small, wild beauty we rush past every day.

The world is still majestic…if we take the time to see it.

Today is International Day of the Midwife.

This is my full-time job and a career I’ve loved for over a decade.

And still, words fall short.

How do you describe being part of a family’s journey from two to three… even four children? Or witnessing the exact moment a family begins?

You can’t fully.
But it’s a blessing and privilege I carry every day. ❤️
