I am absolutely delighted that TFI Friday is back on Channel 4. TFI Back! I always thought it was the most original format for a chat show and, by eck, we so need a show on TV to showcase the musical and comedy talent of the UK. It is like having a pint with old mates. Chris Evans is the man! The David Bowie interview is completely nuts. Nothing like it. Welcome back TFI Friday. Long may it continue.

Next Saturday, 21st Feb, I am putting on a real retro evening in The Queens Eston, playing songs I performed when I was young and had hair.

It is lovely to look back on those amazing days of the mid to late 1980's when I took my first steps around the Pubs and Clubs of the North East with my daft hat on, singing songs by The Cutting Crew, The Stranglers and Was (Not Was), among many others that have stuck around as years and are now considered classics.
