So this was meant to be a post follow up from me moving into a house and I was supposed to be in decent shape for my holiday
Well it didn’t go to plan
Now before moving into the house I was on track everything was going right
Then we moved into the house
Problem after problem in the past 6 weeks
Between the front door breaking, a unexpected vet visit and a unexpected fire place we didn’t know was there just to name a few
So Saturdays and Monday have been none stop. Big breakfast, no dinners bags of sweets next thing to know it’s tea time and we’ve left it too late to cook so takeaway a few tinnies to chill out.
Unfortunately it set up bad habits.
Then injuries picked up- led to me unable to train a few days.
Then learning that my stress levels lead to injury after Josh Thorpe and I discussed it when I tend to get injuries was just what I wanted to hear 🙃
And I’ll be honest past 2-3 weeks pre holiday I didn’t want to train and the last week I didn’t train
I burnt myself out to the point we’re on holiday I had a panic attack which doctors put down to stress ( I put it down to ronnie not being with us😂)
I’ve been training for just over 10 years training differently over that time I’ve never felt like this especially with training so for me this was a whole new experience but I can take lessons away for future
Lessons to take away but also what I’ve learnt for future and clients
It’s okay to prioritise outside of fitness for a short period of time especially if it’s urgent
Manage your stress levels even if it’s going on a nice walk outside in nature or beach the benefits you get from it- a quick google search will tell you this is already long enough 😅
If you’ve had a hectic day when you go back to normal get back on it a day or 2 of damage shouldn’t set a week of bad habits
Also having something or someone to guide you when your not with it I didn’t truly understand until this moment because I’m good at telling clients what to do in this situation but obviously not myself
If you’ve sat and read this post I’d be interested in knowing how you react in a really stressful situation
How did

I’ve noticed most people don’t come to me because they suddenly wake up one day feeling motivated.
They usually come to me because they’ve reached a point where they’re tired of:
• starting and stopping
• trying to do it on their own
• feeling overwhelmed
• lacking confidence
• saying “I’ll start Monday”
And honestly, that’s normal.
Sometimes all you need is a bit of structure and someone to guide you in the right direction.
If that sounds like you, let’s have a chat 💪
