Multi-way temporary traffic will be in operation from 1st June 2026 for up to 3 months of works at the entrance of the new development. Work to be carried out by Magna Civil Engineering Ltd (Enquiries in case of traffic signal failure contact 0743628968 or 07594934351.

A172 Stokesley Road / A174 Marton interchange
2 March to Autumn 2026
Major repair work
A172 on bridge - chicanes into two-way single-lane traffic. Occasional temporary lane or full overnight closures, including use of temporary traffic signals when required. Right turns are banned onto A174 and from A174 (left turns only on and off slip roads). A172 U-turns are banned for 300m either side of the bridge works. A174 overnight lane closures for works underneath the bridge. Diversions are in place during the works.

HUTTON LANE, GUISBOROUGH
Two-way traffic signals will be in operation from 8th June 2026 for up to 1 week to renew with the boundary box and meter. Work to be carried out by Northumbrian Water (in case of failure, work contact 07894905556).

A temporary road closure will be in operation from 27th April 2026 for up to 16 weeks to carry out Public Realm Improvement work. Work to be carried out by ESH on behalf of Redcar and Cleveland.

OLD MIDDLESBROUGH ROAD, GUISBOROUGH
Two-way traffic signals will be in operation from 9th June 2026 for up to 3 days to clear blockages on the existing Openreach network. Work to be carried out by BYNT Group on behalf of BT (Enquiries in case of traffic light failure work contact 07790339316)

DORSET ROAD, GUISBOROUGH (entrance to garages)
A temporary road closure will be in operation from 4th June 2026 for up to 1 week to repair a leak on the main. Work to be carried out by Northumbrian Water (Enquiries regarding this work contact 03333216294)

One week to go to the Kite Festival

🪁🚌PARK & RIDE INFORMATION FOR REDCAR KITE FESTIVAL 🚌🪁
Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 June.

The park and ride will run from Kirkleatham show field. Enter from Kirkleatham Lane (A1042) and follow the signs to the show field. Parking is free.
From here the buses will run direct to Majuba Road, dropping off and picking people up right on site.

Parking at the show field is free. Tickets need to be purchased from the ticket desk in the car park before boarding the bus. Tickets can be paid for by both cash and card payments.

Ticket prices are:

Adults Return - £3.00
Under 16s Return - £1.00
Under 3 years old- Free

Buses will run from 11.45am to 6.30pm in a constant loop between Kirkleatham and the site and we have tripled the number of buses from last years provisions.

While the buses are coaches, wheelchair and access provisions are in place with ramp access to a range of buses available.

We ask that prams are folded up to speed up the loading process.
