T/Superintendent Daryll Tomlinson talks about Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action 2026 and how Middlesbrough's neighbourhood officers, police community support officers (PCSOs) and volunteers help to keep the public safe ๐Ÿ’™ ๐Ÿ‘ฎ

Officers and PCSOs working in neighbourhood teams are often the first point of contact for local people, building trust, preventing crime and dealing with the issues that matter most to the communities they serve.

Neighbourhood teams took part in today's Operation Artemis in Middlesbrough, where they were out and about conducting high-visibility patrols in order to prevent crime and provide reassurance to our communities. This kind of activity is carried out 365 days a year and this week we'll be highlighting some of the excellent work carried out by these officers.

If you see our officers out and about please do say hello and raise any issues or concerns. As the week progresses we will continue to share with you the work of our teams as they protect communities and tackle criminals.

PC Burey and PC Wilson from Middlesbrough Response Policing Team, along with PCSO colleagues from Neighbourhoods, recently visited Marton Manor Primary School to deliver an important session on knife crime and personal safety.

By speaking with pupils and staff, answering questions, and encouraging open conversation, officers helped young people understand the risks and wider impact of carrying knives. ๐Ÿ‘ฎ
