I saw a post on a local beekeeping group. A young woman called Molly Callon was asking for any left-over beeswax. She explained that she was completing her masters degree in fine art and was producing candles as her final piece.

Now we had lots of old wax which, had been taken from extractions, it was no good to anyone really and I knew it would find a good home.....

I think we can all agree that these candles turned out brilliant. Molly told me that each one signals something from her childhood. She made the original piece by hand sculpting them, before making the silcone moulds, off those and eventually pouring the candles. Not refining the wax to leave the darker colour. Which I think gives them soul........

Amazing. I can think of no better use for that wax, such a story for it to come from a building and then to be used the way it has. Recycling at its finest....

I'm looking forward to this one...
