We are going to look at Romans for a bit,
Here is the good news as it really is. . .

Romans 1:1-5

v1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God
v2 - the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures
v3 -regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life .was a descendant of David,
v4 - and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.
v5 - Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes fromc faith for his name’s sake.

1- Paul was an Apostle, some one who has seen the risen Jesus, and speaks with God's authority.
2-3 He is writing to explain just how good. The old testament promised good news really is and how these promises have been delivered through Jesus the eternal Son of God and eternal human King in David's line.
4- already Paul tells us, Jesus is fully human, and fully God, our risen Saviour, Jesus Christ our Lord.
5- Paul is bringing the glorious good news of Gods grace to people who are far from him "the Gentiles" - people like us.
