Tomorrow is our second week back for our New Wave group. and we would love to see some new faces come along and join us!

If you are over 50 and would like to develop your own creativity and understanding of drama, challenge yourself and others perception of age - then come and join our wonderful group (pic below as proof)

We are based at Middlesbrough Town Hall and every 3 months we work on different aspects of drama depending on what the group is interested in. Up to now we've tackled Shakespeare, Created short films inspired by poets and playwrights as well as a Victorian Ghost story for Christmas!

It's a fun, social and supportive group that is open to all!

Hello lovely less is MORE followers - we would love to invite you along to a performance of A Winters Chill at Middlesbrough Town Hall on the 11th December.

A Winters Chill is a victorian Christmas ghost story designed and created by our New Wave Group. Over the summer the group created a series of characters and stories which then was taken away and shaped into a narrative by David Tuffnell and Lynne Ellis (a member of the company). The company then recorded the story and worked on a soundscape that they will then animate for you.

The story follows a journey of a theatrical company producing Dickens Christmas Carol at Middlesbrough Town Hall after its grand opening in 1889. Over the course of the story a number of members are haunted by ghosts of their past, who are now impacting the future of the show and the cast!

Our New Wave group runs every Tuesday and is for people over the age of 50 who wish to try new challenges and tackle perceptions and expectations of growing older. Every three months the group decide on a new performance focus that they wish to learn about and develop.
