Bressuire Castle Prepares to Host Europe’s Finest Highland Athletes including our very own Eve Robson the 2025 amateur world champion and Kait Hicks 2025 amateur world finalist.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the 1,000-year-old Bressuire Castle, the 2026 Women’s Open European Highland Games Championships and Men’s Open International Highland Games will take place on 13–14 June, bringing together some of the strongest and most talented athletes from across Europe and beyond.

For two unforgettable days, the historic castle grounds will be transformed into a celebration of strength, tradition, and culture as elite competitors battle it out in a full programme of traditional Highland Games events. Yet Bressuire is far more than a sporting competition—it is an immersive experience that captures the true spirit of the Highland Games unlike anywhere else in world
