🚨 Fake Virus Pop-Ups Warning (Chrome & Edge Users)

Seeing messages like:
• “Your PC is infected!”
• “Call Microsoft immediately!”
• Fake antivirus alerts or loud warnings?

👉 These are NOT real viruses

They are usually caused by website notifications you accidentally allowed in your browser.

Even if you have antivirus software (like Norton), these pop-ups can still appear because antivirus does not control browser notification permissions.

🧹 Quick Fix:
• Clear browser cache (Ctrl + Shift + Delete → All time → Clear data)
• Close and reopen your browser
• Block notification requests from unknown websites

⚠️ Never do this:
• Call numbers shown in pop-ups
• Download “fix tools” from the message
• Allow remote access to your PC

👍 Simple rule:
If it looks urgent, scary, and comes from a website — it’s fake.
