Today is Safeguarding Sunday, when thousands of churches from all traditions join together to celebrate the protection of all those who are vulnerable.

A Prayer for Safeguarding Sunday 🙏
Loving and gracious God,
on this Safeguarding Sunday we hold before you all who have been harmed through abuse.
You see every story and every wound, and your heart grieves with those who suffer.
Ten years on from the Past Cases Review, we give thanks for progress made,
yet we remember those still struggling to heal.
Bring comfort, courage, and hope to all survivors, and surround them with your peace.
We pray for all who work in safeguarding;
for wisdom, compassion, and strength in their calling.
Help your Church to be a place of safety and truth,
where every voice is heard and every person valued.
Through your healing Spirit, make us instruments of love and renewal,
reflecting the light of Christ in all we do.
Amen.

Sunday 31st August was our last service with the Reverand John Wiseman as our minister. We do thank him for the way he has led us for the last 2 years, In ministry, bible studies, crafts and for his encouragement in our Christian faith. A end of a another chapter.
Next Sunday 7th September at Arnold methodist church a welcome service for our new minister Claire her first service with us Sunday 14th September. All welcome

A date for your diary...
We are looking forward to welcoming Rev Claire Sutcliffe and her family to the Nottingham North East Circuit from September. Her welcome service will be held on Sunday September 7th, 4pm at Arnold Methodist Church, followed by a buffet tea. Please do come along to welcome Claire to the circuit and to pray for her as she begins this new chapter of her faith journey.
