Stepping Up

We haven’t had a Quotes From Rehearsal for ages! So without further ado:

Glenn, our fabulous coach: “You were within a gnat’s crotchet of it.”
Tilly, aka Nat: “You leave my crotchet out of this.”

Gill, as directed, is putting a bit of ra**ch into a line about her pockets.
Jane, sotto voce: “What HAS she got in her pockets?!”
Glenn:

(Discussing accessing our chest voice via football chants)
Liz, gleefully: “TAIWO AWONIYI TAIWO AWONIYI TAIWO AWONIYI….”
(There follows a brief pause in which we learn Nottingham Forest chants)

Tilly, chatting animatedly over tea about her favourite book: “And when I get my tattoo on my arm it’s going to be…. “
Jane, tenor extraordinaire and also Tilly’s mum:
Tilly: “….a ….quote….from….”
(Tilly is 45 and entirely within her rights to get a tattoo if she wants, but that eyebrow is just as scary as it was 30 years ago.)
