♻️Due to the continuing high temperatures, our Waste and Recycling crews are preparing for another week of early starts all of next week.

🌡️By moving shifts to begin earlier than usual, we can reduce their exposure to the hottest times of the day, which is affecting our vehicles as well as our workforce. We've been running cold drinks and extra support out to our crews, but the heat still slows things down.

🌇 We also have afternoon and evening crews working up to 9pm and on Saturdays to complete collections where issues have occurred - if your street hasn't been collected when you expected it, please leave it out and we'll get there as soon as we can.

⏲️ As for next week, please put your bins out by 6am or the night before, and thank you for helping us keep our workforce safe.

Look out for:
💧 Feeling very thirsty
😓 Heavy sweating
🤕 Headaches
😵 Dizziness
🤢 Feeling sick or weak

If someone is affected, move them to a cool place, give them water and help them cool down.

If symptoms worsen or you're concerned, seek medical advice from NHS 111.

Knowing the signs could help protect you or someone else during hot weather.
