Lots to fill you in on this week...

🏆 Firstly, huge congratulations to Joshua for winning the Hannah Hogan Award for Kindness this month!

✅ We've introduced a stamp chart at Pulp & Prints, for Members to track their training progress, encouraging them to also try new things!

👩‍🍳 This week the team branded some takeaway boxes, made a delicious curry, a warming chilli, decorated our famous school cake and baked up some apple muffins & choc chip cookies!

🌿 Albert & Elliot were supported by Gary to join the Woodwork Course at Bulwell Forest Garden where they built a fantastic herb box.

📝 Over at Bestwood, Owen introduced the theme for the week: Stock Taking!
Where we looked at marketing, advertising and stock control. We also squeezed in an Exercise and Movement workshop with Thrive and a litter pick!

🍄 At Urban Worm we met James from Rigsby’s Seasonal Foods and learnt all about foraging! It was a fascinating session.

💐 We had lovely feedback from Trent Vineyard for the flowers arrangements we donate to their grief cafe, and Dan won a Christmas card design competition for Fernwood School and won a prize!

🥊 And we've been very busy over the weekend - our Nordic Walking group has a great time out and about, Adam and Angela ran the catering shed at Saturday's Dig-In Community Allotment event and a group of us supported Regan at the Red Knights Martial Arts Kickboxathon fundraiser, Anji even gave it a try!

🌉 Today we've been at the Transport Nottingham Waterside Bridge event creating smoothies on one bike and charging phones on the other! And Lucy & Julie are representing Pulp Friction at Southwell Minster's service celebrating the King's birthday!

What a week😴
..p.s, not long until our Summertime Ball now 🥳

A huge thank you to everyone who took time out of their weekend to join our team away day yesterday!

💚 It's always a great session - hearing directly from our Members, and their parents and carers, about what's working well and what we could look to improve. We really value your opinions and ideas, thank you!

👏 We also got to celebrate the volunteers who joined us yesterday to round off Volunteers' Week, with handmade cards and gifts from our Members.

🍰 Over the rest of the week, Members were very busy preparing lunches and drinks at Pulp&Prints to celebrate Footprints Conductive Education Centre's volunteers, as well as delicious tray bakes we tucked into yesterday!

😁 Tom did a brilliant job welcoming visitors for Footprints' Empowerment event and we welcomed our newest Member, Andrew, to the team! We can already tell he's going to be an excellent chef!

👮‍♀️ At Bestwood we've been discussing the police, with a couple of brilliant visits from PC Zoe and Leila. They helped us understand more about trusted adults, consent and what to do if we are worried.

👩‍⚖️ We also did some work on the law and court system, where our very own judge Clare was very kind to Daisy Goldilocks who was found not guilty by the jury!

🥗 We had lots of buffets to cater for at JHQ, meanwhile Albert and Will made a delicious fruit salad at Bestwood, and we had our usual fun at The Urban Worm CIC making kudashi bins!

Happy birthday Michelle 🥳
