Some highlights from our recent victorian restoration project 🙌

We have successfully double glazed these sash windows using a variety of techniques. Combining traditional and modern materials we have made it possible to retain as much of the original aesthetic as possible. All the while massively improving their heat efficiency and functionality.

Well done team 👏

New hardwood bespoke sills for our client in Staffordshire. We made these deeper than the existing sills so that the drip beneath the front edge takes water further away from the window. This will help prevent the same problem from reoccurring. Over time water was tracking back under the old sills causing them to rot. These have been dowelled into the existing oak frame using European oak dowels. Just good quality timber, glue and epoxy resin for back filling. No metal and no gaps 👌 25/10/2024

An insight into part of the glazing process using traditional linseed putty. This is made from just linseed oil and chalk and can last decades if applied correctly. A time honoured skill wonderfully demonstrated here by Jason. 25/10/2024
