Our Story

Fan Page for Cancer Research UK Relay For Life Nottingham - "like" us to be informed of Relay news and events from the organisers and teams.

Our next "Relay For Life Nottingham" event takes place on 6th/7th July 2019 at Harvey Hadden stadium in Nottingham. Lots of people know about Race For Life, but Relay is another event run by Cancer Research UK in which men, women and children take part in a 24 hour walking relay to raise funds to help beat cancer.

To take part, you put together a team of friends, family or colleagues - 8 to 15 people is about right - and join in with and hold your own fundraising activities. These activities go on throughout the year leading up to the Relay For Life event. Then at Harvey Hadden in July your team has to keep at least one member on the track at all times throughout the 24 hours.
You camp out, we have live bands and other entertainments, teams can do fundraising on the day selling baking or books or holding a raffle or whatever - it's a lot of fun. Half festival and half charity event.
