Join our veg box scheme and enjoy fresh, seasonal veg for 10 weeks this summer. We have 2 sizes to choose from and multiple pricing options so everyone can enjoy healthy, locally grown food.

🥕 Small box (5-7 items)
Community Price - £85 for 10 weeks, £8.50 per box
Standard Price – £105 for 10 weeks, £10.50 per box
Solidarity Price - £125 for 10 weeks, £12.50 per box

🥬 Regular box (8+ items)
Community Price - £175 for 10 weeks, £17.50 per box
Standard Price – £195 for 10 weeks, £19.50 per box
Solidarity Price - £215 for 10 weeks, £21.50 per box

📅 10-week membership commitment from Thursday 30th July to Thursday 1st October
📍 Collection only from Northern Roots, Kings Road, OL8 2BJ each Thursday, 4pm–6pm

As a member, you’ll be directly supporting the Northern Roots urban farm in . You’ll also receive two large jute bags, an exclusive behind-the-scenes guided tour of our new site, and be able to buy optional items such as local honey and specialty mushrooms.

We are looking for a passionate, ambitious and experienced Head Chef to lead café operations, food production for the shop, and catering for meetings and events 🥬

Northern Roots is creating the UK’s largest urban farm and eco-park on 160-acres of underused greenspace in Oldham, Greater Manchester – a unique community hub and visitor destination. The charity aims to benefit the environment, and to improve the health, wellbeing and livelihoods of local communities. Food is at the heart of our vision.

Working alongside our Land Team, F&B General Manager and Chef-Partner Mary-Ellen McTague, you'll create seasonal menus showcasing produce grown on our urban farm and from local suppliers, lead café and catering operations, and champion sustainable food practices ♻️

This is a unique opportunity to help shape a destination café with social and environmental impact at its heart.
