🚨 Callout – 19/06/26

On Friday lunchtime, the Team was called to assist a walker with a suspected broken leg at Dovestone Reservoir.

Using one of our 4x4 Land Rovers, we quickly located the casualty on the main path around the reservoir. A team medic assessed the injury, administered pain relief, and immobilised the leg with a splint.

Once North West Ambulance Service arrived, casualty care was handed over, and our volunteers assisted by carefully loading the patient onto a stretcher and carrying approximately 400 metres to the waiting ambulance.

We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.

🕒 Duration: 1 hours 45 minutes

🚑 We're fundraising to replace our ageing Land Rovers, which help us get rescuers and vital equipment to casualties in terrain other vehicles can't reach.
