♥️Joyce’s Homemade Scones ♥️

Did you know that every morning Joyce is making scones for the cafe at 7/8am? You can’t beat coming in to smell the freshly baked scones never mind taste them!

Even before Joyce started at touchdown she was known for her scones amongst friends and family. And are still popular and loved today!

We always try to have at least 4 types of scones out daily, with a mixture of sweet and savoury. Our most popular have Fruit, Banana and walnut, Apple and Cinnamon, Rhubarb and ginger, Cheese bacon and onion and strawberry and white chocolate.

All our scones come with butter and a jam of your choice. We have a selection of Blackcurrant, Apricot, Strawberry and Raspberry… if you fancy some fresh cream let us know! If it’s available we are more than happy to assist.

All our scones are available for sitting in or takeaway ♥️

Are we Dog Friendly?

People still ask if we are Dog Friendly… I think the pictures here gives you the answer! YES!! 🥰♥️ we absolutely love that both humans and 4 legged babies come to visit us no matter the weather or day🐾♥️

Since we opened in 2019, we have been dog friendly, it would be silly not to be considering we have the most beautiful walks around High field woods, and all around the airfield with the most beautiful views!

Joyce’s dog Sally frequented the cafe and was given the affectionate name of “Queen of the Cafe” by customers. we wanted to make dogs have the best visit along with their humans, We sadly lost sally a few years ago, she is pictured on our doggy menu and certainly isn’t forgotten, with many customers still asking about her or giving us their memories of her. ♥️

Outside we always have water bowls situated at the door (more so on warmer weather) Our large benches each have a dog lead peg so you can enjoy your meal without having to worry about where to tie your dog etc.

We also have a dog menu, everything on this menu is freshly made… just like your meal! If there is something that isn’t there that you would like, please let us know we are more than happy to assist!

Do you know we do sandwich/wrap platters for any occasions,

These are made on a mixture of brown and white bread. filled to the brim with our beautiful freshly made fillings, however we are more than happy for you to pick your own filling and bread.

Coronation chicken
Mexican chicken
Tuna mayonnaise
Egg mayonnaise
Ham
Cheese
Pickle
and garnished with salad.

We only require 24 hours for your
order,
Sandwiches are £3.70 per person wraps are £4.95 per person.
However if you have a certain budget for example £30 we will make for this amount,

We do have a refundable deposit for our platters, these are £2.50 each however you will receive this back when we receive the platters back in good condition.

💜JOYCE’S HOMEMADE QUICHE 💜

Joyce has always been known for her homemade quiche. They were very popular amongst staff when she worked at PRI and Ninewells as a nurse, and have remained popular amongst to this day, even people that don’t particularly like quiche! 🥰

Here at Touchdown We always try to accommodate everyone regarding our quiche in our cake cabinet so that is suitable for everyone, we always make sure there is a selection in our cabinet. So we always try to have a vegeterian one, fish one and a meat one.

These quiches are part of our afternoon teas, Munchie boxes and buffets.

All of our quiches are available for sitting in or takeaway, and is priced at £3.85 on their own.
They can be served hot or cold, Come with Crisps/ Chips/homemade Potato salad, Beans/Peas/homemade coleslaw and salad for £7.55

We can also make whole 11inch quiche to order, you can make them any flavour of your choice, these serve very generous portion of 8. Which is perfect for summer parties.
We only require 24- 48 hours for these to be made.

We also have Gluten free and dairy free quiches available if required! But we would request 24-48 hours notice required ♥️
