EMDR and IEMT are often grouped together, but they work in different ways.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) helps the brain reprocess difficult memories so they feel less overwhelming in the present.
IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Therapy) focuses on changing the emotional and identity response linked to an experience, helping people move beyond patterns and feelings that continue to affect them.
Both therapies have the same goal: helping people feel less held back by the past.
You may benefit from EMDR or IEMT if:
• A memory still carries emotional weight
• Anxiety feels linked to past experiences
• Certain feelings or patterns keep returning
• You keep reacting in ways you don't fully understand
• Something happened years ago but still affects you today
Many people reach a point where they understand what happened, but still find themselves feeling, reacting or coping in the same way.
That's often where therapies such as EMDR and IEMT can help.
Every person's experience is different, which is why there isn't a one size fits all approach to therapy.
The best therapy is the one that feels right for you.
If you've recognised yourself in any part of this post, you may already be thinking about what support could look like.
Taking the first step often starts with a simple conversation.
When you feel ready, send us a message or visit our website to learn more about EMDR, IEMT and the support available.

Father's Day means something different to everyone.
While many people will be celebrating today, we know that Father's Day can bring a wide range of emotions.
For some, it's a chance to spend time with family and create happy memories.
For others, it's a reminder of someone they love and miss.
Some people are navigating complicated family relationships.
Some are grieving a father who is no longer here.
Some are becoming fathers themselves.
Some are facing Father's Day while longing to become a parent.
And some are simply treating today as another Sunday.
However today feels for you, your experience is valid.
There is no right way to feel on Father's Day.
🤍 Whether you're celebrating, remembering, grieving, healing or reflecting today, be gentle with yourself.
