Your life doesn’t change just because the calendar flips over, you have to put some work in.
Here are 10 habits to help you make 2026 clearer, lighter and more aligned then ever before:
1. Give yourself 10 minutes everyday before getting up and starting your day, this will give you time to align your day
2. Drink water as your first drink everyday
3. Do a daily stretch
4. Make or check your plan for the day so you don’t just float through the day and end up procrastinating
5. Write down a ‘don’t do’ list on a Monday
6. Make sure you eat regularly
7. Do some form of daily exercise
8. Drink at least 2 litres of liquid a day
9. Count your steps
10. Enjoy yourself every day

How often do you move around during the day?
Did you know that the UK average adult spends 9 hours a day sedentary and this is not including the 8 hrs of sleep.
You think back to the stories of the cavemen and women they didn’t sit still until they slept.
Yes times and lifestyle have moved on but they were in much better overall shape and health than we are as a population now.
There are many reasons for this and a big one is the amount of movement we don’t do on a daily basis.
You could move for 7 hours a day by going to the toilet or getting a drink for maybe 5 minutes at a time. This at least wakes your body up and gets that movement in.
But it won’t have any huge positive impact on your health as much as making a conscious effort to stay active for as much time of the day as you can. Do you want to be in the group who don’t move for 9 hours a day and then sleep for 8 more of those? I don’t!
So have a think about how often you move your body during the day and see if you feel you need to improve this to help improve your health and wellness.
