🥵 Heat Stroke is a very common problem in all species during hot weather 🐶🐱🐰

Help keep your pet cool by offering cool mats, Providing fans and maybe a paddling pool in the shade.
Walk dogs early in the morning or later in the evening once temperatures have reduced and never leave them in a car even if it’s only for a few minutes. Ensure plenty of water is available and ensure outdoor hutches and run areas have plenty of shade.

Signs of Heat Stroke
🔥 Heavy panting
🔥 Bright red or purple gums and tongue
🔥 Drooling
🔥 Vomiting
🔥 Staggering or Collapse
🔥 Rapid Heart Rate
🔥 Lethargy
🔥 Seizures

If you are concerned your pet may have heat stroke - Contact your vet straight away
- Move them to somewhere cool
- Soak their coat with cool, but never cold, running water
