Reading School

There's a lot that happens on a school Sports Day that never normally makes it into a photo gallery. A Head of Sport & PE, with mic in hand, keeping all track and field events running to schedule with the support of teaching staff. A sixth form crew moving speakers, mic stands and a drum kit across the track ahead of the day's live music student performances. A Reading School mum and son team who spent the entire day manning a refreshement stall, raising money for charity while every race went on without them. And a Student Support Team setting up a dedicated zone for students with additional needs.

Sports Day works because of all this, and much, much more. Thank you to everyone who gave up their day to make it happen for our students.

☀️ Sports Day is almost here!

We're looking forward to a fantastic day of competition, House spirit and personal bests.

To help everyone enjoy the day safely, we're asking all students to:
💧 Bring and regularly refill a water bottle
🧢 Wear a hat and sunglasses if possible
🧴 Apply SPF 50+ sunscreen before arriving and reapply during the day
🌳 Make use of shaded areas between events
🙋 Tell a member of staff straight away if they feel unwell
