🚴‍♀️ Cycling for Change: Zambia 2026 🌍

This summer, our student Maisie in Year 11 will undertake an extraordinary challenge in Zambia, cycling from Solwezi -the town where she spent much of her childhood - to the source of the mighty Zambezi River.

The route is both symbolic and demanding. The Zambezi is a lifeline for millions of people, providing water, food and power across the region. By reaching its source, Maisie hopes to shine a light on the challenges faced by a small orphan community that remains close to her heart.

The community is led by Emmanuel, whose dedication supports vulnerable children living in a remote area where access to education, healthcare and essential supplies can be extremely difficult. Many children walk hours to attend school, while the nearest town and medical facilities are a considerable distance away.

Through this journey, Maisie hopes to raise awareness of the resilience, determination and potential of this community, while highlighting how practical support can create lasting opportunities for children and families.

We are incredibly proud of Maisie's compassion, courage and commitment to making a difference. We wish her every success as she prepares for this remarkable adventure.
