🫘 FIRST BEAN HARVEST OF THE SEASON!
My Purple Dwarf French Beans have been a labour of love since I received them through the post from , although they have been really strong and hardy since germination, through the wind and now scorching su.mer days we've been having. Looking forward to trying our first harvest for tomorrow's tea.

Wentworth Elder Spritz 🍋
Wentworth because me and the little man urgently picked the elderflower from along the church path in Wentworth in the last days before he started to fade.
Such a refreshing, non-alcoholic drink after days of intense heat this week! 🥵
Because the elderflower cordial we have made this year is (accidentally!) thick and syrupy, as well as very sweet, you don't feel as if you are missing the syrupiness of rum in what is essentially an non-alcoholic Mojito.
Pour the cordial and rip mint leaves (fresh from the allotment) over plenty of ice and then mix before topping up with sparking Sanpellegrino UK and add a large wedge of lemon to garnish.
