The boys are back in action following a positive first run out, with another good test ahead as preparations continue for the 2026/27 season.

A winning start to pre season. 🔵

New kit. New badge. New faces.

Yesterday’s 2-1 victory over Midland Rovers gave us our first run out of pre season, and our first chance to see several new additions for AFC Rugby.

5 new signings made their debuts:

🔵 Jordan Bance
🔵 Tom Partridge
🔵 Jack Leigh
🔵 Dan King
🔵 Chevez Walder

It was a positive morning all round, with Ryan and debutant Chevez getting on the scoresheet to seal a 2-1 victory.

There are plenty of things to build on over the coming weeks, but it was an encouraging start and great to see some fresh faces make their first appearances in blue.

Next week we face newly formed Newbold Crown FC. 👀

Full time result from this morning as we came away with a 2-1 win over Midland Rovers FC at the Nationwide Windows Arena. 🔵

A strong start to pre season and a positive first run out for the boys, in a game that could easily have had more goals. Most importantly, it is a win for Ben in his first game as manager.

Goals from Ryan and debutant Chevez sealed the win for AFC. A big thank you to Midland Rovers FC for the game, and to everyone who came down to support. ⚽️
