A great start to 2024 for the SSH team, with us gaining approval last week for Phase 2 of our development of low energy homes - this time on the more prominent quarry edge behind Dunelm Mill etc on Chesterfield Road.

This development comprises 7 houses accessed from Derbyshire Lane, all of which are super insulated, complete with PV, have private car parking and are set in a landscape with a host of ecological preservation and enhancement. We have 5 houses of a very similar nature to Phase 1, but also 2 larger contemporary houses potentially available as self build plots.

We presented the scheme to the planning committee and had great supportive comments from the Planning Officer, Councillors, and a unanimous vote to approve the scheme.

Contrary to popular belief the quarry edge is completely sound and the ecology and trees enhanced. The views across the valley from existing houses, whilst not protected by Planning, we none the less respected and are not harmed (whilst still making sure the views from our properties will be spectacular!).

We have some advance enquiries to get back to first but the houses will be marketed and available as Shells to complete yourself or have us complete to your design as a Contractor via Saxton Mee Ltd ASAP, so look out for more information.
