Valentine’s Day session with my man….in a freezing gym… bobble hat and all 😂

Some sessions feel strong and powerful.
Some feel heavy before they even start.

If you’re a woman who trains, you’ve probably noticed — your performance isn’t the same every week.

That’s not inconsistency.
That’s physiology.

Across the menstrual cycle, fluctuations in oestrogen and progesterone can influence:

• Perceived effort
• Recovery capacity
• Fluid retention
• Coordination
• Motivation

The answer isn’t to skip training.
And it isn’t to push through blindly either.

It’s to adjust.

Cycle-aware strength training means:
– Reducing intensity during symptomatic phases
– Managing volume when recovery dips
– Progressing harder when energy is higher
– Removing the guilt when output fluctuates

Strength should feel sustainable.

If you’re tired of thinking you’re “falling behind” every month, I coach women to train in alignment with their hormones — not against them.

Message me “CYCLE” if you want to learn how we do it.
